1. Definitions
- "Career Forgers" / "we" / "us" / "our": the platform and service operated under the name Career Forgers, including its founders, employees, contractors, and appointed mentors
- "User" / "you" / "your": any person who creates an account on the platform, including mentees, mentors, and institutional representatives
- "Mentee": a student or graduate enrolled in a Career Forgers programme
- "Mentor": an industry professional approved by Career Forgers to guide mentees through their programme
- "Programme": a 90-day structured mentorship package such as Career Foundation, Career Launchpad, or Career Accelerator purchased by a mentee
- "Platform": the website careerforgers.in, the mentee portal, mentor portal, admin portal, and associated mobile applications and tools
- "Roadmap": a personalised, milestone-based learning plan created by a mentor for a specific mentee within the platform
- "Portfolio": the professional showcase document built by a mentee through programme completion and accessible through the platform
- "CF Certification": the Career Forgers Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) issued by Career Forgers upon programme completion and meeting rank criteria
- "Content": all materials, documents, projects, submissions, and data created by users on the platform
2. Eligibility and account registration
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register on the platform without parental consent. Users aged 16 to 17 require written parental or guardian consent submitted before account activation.
- You must provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration. Providing false information is grounds for immediate account termination without refund.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and must notify contact@careerforgers.in immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person may hold only one mentee account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, gain unfair ranking advantages, or abuse the platform is prohibited.
- For institutional accounts, the person registering warrants that they have authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of the institution.
3. The Career Forgers service - what we provide and what we do not
3.1 What Career Forgers provides
- Access to the platform, mentee portal, and portfolio builder for the duration of your enrolled programme
- Assignment of a qualified, approved mentor matched to your domain, skill level, and career goals
- A personalised roadmap built by your assigned mentor with milestones, tasks, and proof requirements
- Review and feedback on milestone submissions by your assigned mentor
- Access to scheduled events, group sessions, and community features as specified in your plan
- CF Certification upon meeting the criteria defined in the ranking framework in Section 6
- Career services specified in your chosen plan, such as resume review, mock interviews, and LinkedIn optimisation
3.2 Important limitations
Career Forgers is a mentorship and career development platform. We do not guarantee employment, job placement, interview calls, or salary outcomes. The following are expressly excluded from our service and must not be relied upon as promises or representations by Career Forgers.
- Guaranteed job placement at any company or within any timeframe
- Guaranteed minimum salary or specific compensation upon programme completion
- Guaranteed number of interview calls or recruitment referrals
- Guaranteed acceptance into any specific company, sector, or role
- Any promise of employment outcomes that is not explicitly stated in writing in your plan agreement
4. Mentee obligations
4.1 Programme participation
- Log into the platform regularly; daily login is strongly recommended for streak and ranking purposes
- Complete milestone tasks within the deadlines set by your mentor
- Submit genuine and original work as proof of milestone completion; plagiarism, copied content, and AI-generated work presented as your own are prohibited
- Attend scheduled sessions and events you register for; repeated no-shows without notice may affect your engagement score
- Communicate with your mentor professionally and respectfully through the platform
4.2 Self-directed learning
- Career Forgers operates a mentor-guide model. Mentors set goals and milestones but do not teach or provide learning materials.
- You are responsible for independently sourcing your learning resources for each milestone.
- You acknowledge that the quality and depth of your learning is determined by the effort you invest. Career Forgers and mentors are not responsible for outcomes resulting from insufficient self-directed effort.
4.3 Prohibited conduct
- Harassment, abuse, or threatening behaviour toward mentors, other mentees, or Career Forgers staff, which may result in immediate account termination without refund
- Submission of plagiarised, undisclosed AI-generated, or fabricated work as your own, which may result in certification revocation
- Sharing platform login credentials or allowing account sharing
- Attempting to manipulate ranking scores through artificial means such as automated login scripts or fake submissions
- Recording, reproducing, or distributing mentor sessions without explicit written consent
- Using the platform or any content on it for commercial purposes without written authorisation from Career Forgers
5. Mentor obligations and limitations
5.1 Mentor commitments
- Build a personalised roadmap within 5 days of being assigned a mentee
- Conduct sessions at the frequency specified in the mentee's plan
- Review milestone submissions within 48 hours of receiving a notification
- Respond to platform messages within their stated response SLA
- Submit mentor recommendations and skill validation within 7 days of the mentee completing the programme
5.2 Mentor limitations
Mentors are independent professionals and not employees of Career Forgers. Their opinions, recommendations, and feedback represent their individual professional judgment. Career Forgers does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of mentor advice for your specific circumstances. Mentors are not authorised to make employment promises on behalf of Career Forgers or any employer.
6. Ranking system and certification
The Career Forgers Ranking Engine scores mentees across 5 pillars: Learning Progress (30%), Consistency & Streaks (20%), Skill Growth Index (20%), Engagement Score (15%), and Mentor Rating & Certification (15%). The final score determines your rank tier.

7. Intellectual property
7.1 Career Forgers intellectual property
All intellectual property on the platform, including the website design, platform architecture, branding, logos, training frameworks, ranking methodology, certification system, and CF Certification design, is owned by or licensed to Career Forgers. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from any Career Forgers intellectual property without prior written consent.
7.2 Your content
You retain ownership of all content you create and submit on the platform, including portfolio content, project submissions, case studies, and written work.
By submitting content to the platform, you grant Career Forgers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display your portfolio content for the purpose of operating the service, include your name, profile photo, and anonymised programme outcomes in marketing materials only with your explicit prior consent, and feature your portfolio as a success story only with your written permission.
Career Forgers does not claim ownership of your project work, case studies, or portfolio content.
8. Third-party tools and links
The platform integrates with or links to third-party services including Razorpay, Google, Zoom, and WhatsApp. Career Forgers is not responsible for the privacy practices, terms, or content of these third-party services. Your use of those tools is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Learning resources found by mentees on third-party websites such as YouTube, freeCodeCamp, Coursera, Kaggle, or official documentation are used at the mentee's own discretion. Career Forgers does not endorse or take responsibility for third-party learning materials.
9. Platform availability and modifications
- We aim to maintain platform availability of 99% during scheduled programme periods. Planned maintenance will be communicated 48 hours in advance.
- Career Forgers may modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the platform with reasonable notice. Material changes to core programme services will be communicated at least 14 days in advance.
- We are not liable for downtime caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure events such as server outages, natural disasters, government actions, or internet disruptions.
- If Career Forgers discontinues the platform entirely during your active programme, we will provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your programme.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Career Forgers' total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the platform or your programme will not exceed the amount you paid for your programme in the 90 days preceding the claim.
- Failure to secure employment or achieve a specific career outcome
- Loss of data caused by your own actions or third-party service failures
- Decisions made by employers, recruiters, or colleges based on your portfolio or certification
- Indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages
- Actions or omissions of mentors that are outside the scope of their defined obligations in these Terms
11. Dispute resolution and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
11.1 Resolution process
- Contact us first at contact@careerforgers.in describing your complaint. We will acknowledge it within 5 business days and attempt to resolve it within 30 days.
- If unresolved, escalate to grievance@careerforgers.in. The Grievance Officer will respond within 30 days.
- If still unresolved, both parties will attempt mediation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu before proceeding to formal legal action.
- If mediation fails, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by you
You may close your account at any time by contacting contact@careerforgers.in. Account closure does not entitle you to a refund unless your request falls within the Refund Policy criteria. Your portfolio content will be deleted within 30 days of account closure unless you request a data export first.
12.2 Termination by Career Forgers
- Violation of prohibited conduct in Section 4.3
- Providing materially false information during registration or programme participation
- Using the platform for an illegal purpose under Indian law
- Attempting to harm, defraud, or abuse Career Forgers, its mentors, or other users
- Submitting plagiarised or fabricated work for certification purposes
13. Changes to these Terms
Career Forgers may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and may request a pro-rata refund for unused programme time. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
